Air ambulance transports help save thousands of lives for victims of serious accidents and severe illness. Riverside, in partnership with LifeEvac of Virginia, provides this lifesaving service to our community.
LifeEvac is a helicopter air ambulance capable of flying up to 135 mph. It can transport two patients at a time and is staffed around-the-clock with a pilot, critical care flight nurse and paramedic. LifeEvac can quickly reach locations throughout the Peninsula and Middle Peninsula region, quickly transporting patients to the Emergency and Trauma Center at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
